Colour palette

To keep us vibrant and flexible, we have a core palette and an extended colour palette. Our core palette is us at our boldest and most eye-catching, while our extended colour palette helps us be more nuanced – even sophisticated on the odd occasion.

Colour combinations

Our colour combinations are formed by the paring of a bright colour alongside its respective tint and charcoal. We use these tonal ranges in a confident way, and we never mix our different bright colours together.

Colour usage

The way we use colour is bold and singular. In general, we never use our dark colours outside our illustrations, or mix core colours together on the same touchpoint: we confidently use our tonal combinations. We also never colour code our product categories. Follow the guidance below for a few key tips on how we use colour.

Examples in use

These are some examples of how to use our colours in the best possible ways. Use these as inspiration when you’re creating something for OLX.

Things to avoid

Here are some examples of things we should never do with our colours.

Logo Misuse 1

Do not mix colour themes on the same touchpoint.

Logo Misuse 2

Do not use the charcoal colour within the dominant part of the layout, or to emphasise the “smart choice”.

Logo Misuse 3

Do not create low contrast combinations.

Logo Misuse 4

Do not exclude the carcoal colour — charcoal should always be included.

Logo Misuse 5

Do not use any colours out of our colour palette.

Logo Misuse 6

Do not apply any effects to the colours.

Logo Misuse 7

Do not use gradients.

Logo Misuse 8

Do not use coloured typography when placed on a photographic background.

Logo Misuse 9

Do not use white instead of the light colour tints.

Logo Misuse 10

Do not use our dark colours within marketing materials — these are for use in illustrations only. Please refer to colour combinations above for guidance.
